Monday - Fill the Frame

Paintings adorn the walls of the guesthouse where I'm staying in Funafuti, Tuvalu. Sam, the owner of the guesthouse, brought them from the Solomon Islands. The Solomon Islanders are known throughout the Pacific as accomplished artists.

  1. That's a really cool painting, Piotr. How did you come to be in Tuvalu? That's very far from home!

    1. Oh yes, you cannot get any further. Takes me a week to get there/return and a week to stay on Funafuti Atoll. One needs about a month more to go around the country by boat.

I flew from EU to Hong Kong, then Fiji and from Fiji to Funafuti. I must be flexible because travelling around the islands of the Pacific is not always reliable. But it is worth it. Oh, yes!

  2. I hope you have kept your old passports.....what a great collage that would make of all the places you have been. You are one lucky man! Thank you for keeping us posted of your where abouts. Some of us will never be able to go to some of these places, but at least we can enjoy them through your eyes and clicks 😉❤️
