A cheap nifty, with not so cheap results

It is a fact that I am a sucker for aftermarket lenses. Always looking for something good to try out.
Many of them I buy second hand and with this one it is no different.
Saw this lens advertised for 40 Euro. A 50mm f1.2. A lightstrong lens for that price, had to have it.

Some people love those Chinese lenses others hate them. Had to find that out for myself.
When it came to me this TTartisan it was packed in a super box of high quality, many big brands can learn from that. Overall buildquality is good to very good. All metal, focus is very smooth and precise. Aperture has a soft click, what is good. Many of these Chinese lenses are clickless what is good for filming.

If you want to know more from this TT Artisan 50mm f1.2, it is easely found on internet.

Looks good on my Fuji, not to big and heavy. Let see how it performs.

Some bamboo graffity going on.

Well after a day walking around with it, decided it is a keeper.
As with every big aperture lens it is a challenge to shoot wide open and got the focus on the place you want it. Before I forget it is a complete manual lens.

A good option if you want a lightstrong lens and not to spring your bank.

  1. Looks great - too bad they, like some of the other inexpensive lenses, aren't made for my Nikon APS-C F mount, only Z mount. ☹️
