Super post. Love the variety of photos, all excellent. You caught some very cool captures of the Rubies. It's interesting to see the different shapes and colors each possess. At times one doesn't notice that there are differences between them, but your photos, because of the number of birds that hang out together one can really take note of theier shapes.Well done!!
Thanks! It's such fun to just sit and watch them but even more to get those images on the 27" monitor and, as you say, see all their differences. I can tell them apart by behavior, but in the bright sun or dim dawn/dusk it's hard to distinguish their colors. Did you notice the juveniles are all still losing bits of feathers? I keep looking around the feeders for just one - no luck. They're just too small.
