Thanks Craig - for me, as a biologist, they reveal all that was there when the cells were fully hydrated and many of the details obscured. I also find portraits of more "seasoned" people much more interesting for the same reason, I think, as well as with seeing aged wood. Perhaphs it's because I'm getting older, too?
