This is follow up to my last post on the road trip from Lima over the continental divide. This is about a less successful drive in Bosnia last year Thankfully all worked out well in the end I had a great time....... but certainly there were lessons to learn!
Quite the story. Could have been very different but keeping a calm head helps - if you can!! Glad it was good in the end.
ReplyDeleteI've had some rough trips in the backwoods of the South and Appalachia in the 70's, but at least I was young enough to shake them off. This one sounded quite scary and a near thing - so glad you made it through OK!
ReplyDeleteAnother lovely read. Quite a harrowing experience. I knew I had something in common with you....no, no, not the travel experince but the hired car, the FIAT. My mother owned a FIAT 500...a coffin, which surprisingly we were never burried in considering the number of mishaps.😊
ReplyDeleteIt was the cheapest deal and it came with navigator, very useful when you can't even remember what country you are in!
