Paucartambo is a small town in the Sierra of Peru. Each June there is a festival to celebrate the "Mamacha Carmen" There are days of none stop celebration as the dancers tell the story woven from the village traditions. This was one of my first blogs in "Wordpress" so hadn't learnt how to interweave the photos into the text at this stage. Should really update this , but well .... here is the link!
The Festival of Paucartambo.
Absolutely stunning photographs!!! So much color (which goes perfectly with today's challenge). Loved reading about the tradition as well. Thanks Geoffrey for sharing this post.😊
ReplyDeleteThe photos are gorgeous, and I enjoyed reading the story behind the festival. Good stuff!
