Photographers often speak of light as the most important factor in making a really good image. And while that is critical, I am always drawn to form first because that, to me, is how light will interact with the subject. And also, since I primarily photograph the natural world, I am see form as the expression of function in living organisms. In biological terms, it's the realization of genetic potential in a particular environmental situation. To me, the sheer simplicity and beauty takes my breath away.
