I sat on a bench in the main hall of Chicago Union Station with a camera in my hand and waited for our best friend Camellia. We went for a walk around downtown Chicago, took pictures of its amazing architectural landmarks, murals, street life and CTA trains. What a day! What a great start of my Amtrak adventure! Camellia, thank you so much!
Nice capture
ReplyDeleteThank you Tom, thank you, Jovi. Chicago Union Station was the start of my two-month adventure with Amtrak last fall.
DeleteNice portrait! I'll bet she's reading a book on how to read while holding a baby.
ReplyDeleteHi Tom, It was such a serene scene. I almost forgot I was in the middle of the American hustle and bustle.
DeleteI always find capturing a photo of the Amish a challenge because of them not wanting to be photographed. This is a very sweet capture. Time to head back to Chicago Piotr 😊
ReplyDeleteHi Camellia! I approached the Amish a couple of times and asked if they could pose but they always politely refused (and thanked me that I asked). Well, I was tempted to make a couple of candid photos.
DeleteYou bet!I started planning my next trip to the USA, stating from Chicago, of course.
Welcome on the blog. Very nice capture
