Tuesday Art

Bluejay friend of mine that hung around my backyard for quite a while became the model for many, many photos ( you might have noticed some of his captured posed before). In this capture I decided to use Lightroom to edit, inspired by Magnus Berggren's style of edits. Original cropped photo is down below.

1/800 sec. f/7.1 500mm, ISO500

  1. The edited shot is striking. It looks like you manufactured one of his legs in your edit - how did you do that?

    1. I thought I had responded to you last night, but I come in today and there is no response. So I try again....I used the clone and healing brush, just like John mentioned. It looked good initially because I was no longer looking at the original photo....but side by side, now, I realize that he has too much of a "talon".

    2. Thanks, Camellia. Well done. I'm sure nobody would notice the talonistic tendencies in his foot.

  2. I love the edit, especially cloning out the fountain riser and dropping the left leg back in - I know how much work that takes. I especially like the burning on the breast - it really helps contrast the light streak on the head.☺️

    1. Thanks John. The only way to learn is through trial and error. I know there is an affinity edit version tutorial on you tube as well ( in french).
