New York City Dawn through a dirty window

iPhone 12 Pro - 1/99, f/2.4,  ISO 50

We just got home after a two-week trip with no cameras and no computers, but a bunch of iPhone shots.  I participated a bit less during that time, but I'm back.  Here's a shot out a hotel window.

  1. Now that is really special! Love the streaking of the colors across the reflection of that building on the left. Nice work! Did you put it up flat against the glass?

    1. Yep, I had it flat against the glass. The building on the left was a great subject. It reflected everything around it, and there was a LOT to reflect -- the sky, several flashing screens, the lights from other buildings, etc. My wife and I both took several shots of it, but again through the dirty window with iPhones.

  2. That is such a fantastic shot, Tom. Is it a straight out of a cell phone photo meaning no post processing?

    1. In Photoscape I added some "clarity" and brightened it just a bit.

  3. Welcome back and what a shot!!!!!! Beautiful capture, I especially love the reflection. Makes me want to trade in my android phone for an iPhone.

    1. Thank you, Peter! I'm grateful for shots like this that present themselves to you and say "take my picture." I happened to look out the window at the right time.
