As a child, I had penfriends in Vanuatu. We exchanged letters, stamps, photographs. Years, years, years later, once I started working and saved enough money to fly to the Pacific, they invited me to stay in their village. It was one of the most beautiful and unforgettable travel experiences ever. Check my blog to see how we cook laplap, the national dish of Vanuatu. https://piotr.exposure.co/vanuatu-1
Great portrait and an excellent cooking lesson!
ReplyDeleteThanks, John. Honestly, I prefer a good old Big Mac to all these traditional exotic dishes, though.
DeleteSuper portrait
ReplyDeleteThanks, Peter. Made it during my first sabbatical π.
DeleteAnother one of your beauties but my most favorite is this portrait. And how young you were then ππ
ReplyDeleteThanks, Camellia. In fact, I was sure I… should not include this portrait in my post. Good old times, my first sabbatical 14 years ago. I will not wait another fourteen years to write about Amtrak vacation, though. Will try next week. π

ReplyDeleteThanks Jovi, thanks Tom. Six weeks in Vanuatu were part of my three-month vacation in the South Pacific. Love travelling!

ReplyDeleteThanks, Abigail. I really want to get back to photography. Not so easy with a full time job but I hope it will get easier… sooner than later
