Those SmugMug shots are fabulous. You've gotten so many good shots of those little guys. I suppose they go to favorite hummingbird feeders in Mexico. Despite its lack of color and action, my favorite was #38 of the lone hummingbird sitting on the wire.
Thanks Tom. They have such a variety of plants from which to feed "back home" in various biomes from central Mexico to the Yucatan and Panama. Yes, Cleopatra (#38) is my favorite, too, because she is the alpha female and was the first to arrive. I'm pretty sure she was here last year - they only live three or four years if they're lucky - just because of the way she behaves. Or maybe I want her to be the "one".
Good catch, I am always impressed when someone gets a hummingbird!
ReplyDeleteThanks Abigail - they are very used to me and don't mind the camera. As long, of course, as I fill all those feeders every day!
