Suspensionbridge Geierlay

My wife and litle old me  went back to Germany for some relaxation and wine. The Moselle is still one of our favourite places to go. and it is only a 3hour drive from home.
This time we had a look at the suspensionbridge in Morsdorf. I believe it is the longest in Europe with a lenght of 360m an it hangs 100m above the ground.

The scenery is beautifull there and we did the roundwalk of the valley into the forest down into the valley and back up again. A walk from about 7Km with some nice climbs in it.

Afterwards we vissited the castle Ehrenburg in Brodenbach. A spectacular ruine kept in good shape.

All pictures taken with my smartphone, so the quality is not the best.

  1. What a bridge - very impressive! And the ruins aren't too shabby, either. Thanks for the tour!

  3. That is a long bridge (almost 4 American football fields), and beautiful. The castle is cool too.
