Wonderful tour! The red telephone and Mr Whippy ice-cream,.... the remnants of its historic ties with UK. Long live Malta GC! The George Cross is the highest civil award for extreme bravery . It is for persons who are not in the armed forces. The island is the only non-person to be awarded this honour.
Thanks Geoff. It really is an amazing country. Our only dissapointment was that we did not get to spend more time in Mdina, there was so much more to see just in that town..
Wow thanks for taking me on a tour of Malta what and interesting place, they even have skateboard parks :-) Love all the history Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteThank you Tom for stopping in ๐
DeleteWhat a wonderful island! Loved the architecture and history. Thanks for all of the tremendous time and effort you have put into these posts๐
ReplyDeleteThanks John. This one took a bit of time..I'd find one info and then find another..it was like opening a pandora's box.
DeleteThanks for the story and I see the "famous" prickly fruit. Now that I know what it is, I might try eating it if ever I get to see one.
ReplyDeleteIntersting enough the peel comes off very easily as long as someone else has cleaned the prickly off before hand.
