Lilacs in October!

Sunday Nature
This photo, taken yesterday on our mini-vacation, shows a sprig of lilacs that were in bloom, in northern Pennsylvania, in late October. I didn't quite believe they were lilacs until my wife pulled a branch down and said - smell this. It was REAL - and lilacs are my absolute favorite flower. I usually only get to see them in May or June so this was a joy!

Old Dirt Road on an Autumn Day
We took a self-guided tour of Covered Bridges while on our mini-vacation and on the "other side" of one of the bridges, this scene prsented itself. The old dirt road and the old barn with the autumn colors just made this photo for me. The fact that the road wasn't straight, but had a meandering curve to it, surely didn't hurt. It was, in my mind, a real country scene.
