Thanks Nancy - that blue is reflection from the sky. It was clear and bright at noon, so I used a variable ND filter (don't remember the setting, but probably around a 4) that allowed a very slow shutter speed which intensified the colors.
Did you use a tripod? I've got an ND4 filter, but haven't tried it because I didn't want to carry a tripod or hand-hold long exposures. What do you do?
For my 18-55, I go handheld - this one took several exposures, not because of me but the wind was very difficult. The variable ND allows me to makes images like these or ICMs, too.
So kind - I find myself going back to look at it, as well. At the time, I wasn't really enamored of this image, but the more I look, the more I like. ☺️
Oh, that is really pretty, John. Are those blue lights at the side?
