This post concludes the series "MOCA Museum Bangkok, Thailand".
The art works on the 4th floor is dominated by the works of Thawan Duchanee, creator of the Black Temple in Chiang Rai.

I shot the below photo because she turned her head to take a last look at a painting as she walked.
The artist of the paintings on the black wall - Thawan Duchanee.
"Passage Across the Universe". One walks through the tunnel in pitch darkness and then you see 'stars' and also the 'milky way' on the top. It was very well done - not at all kitsch. I did not shoot anything as I was blind as a bat in the dark tunnel and decided instead to enjoy the experience. This was where the youngsters did their IG pose.
We have arrived at 'The Three Kingdoms'. Fantastic, cool, calm and airy place to sit, view and perhaps contemplate the paintings.

Thank you to all for reading and appreciating my posts on MOCA museum. I have to admit that it was one of the few museums that had left an impression on me. I appreciated the building, architecture, some paintings and of course the visitors who made the photos interesting. There are more to it than my posts so, if ever you are in Bangkok, I highly recommend this museum.
These were such beautiful posts and I personally I am sad that the end has come. You did a fantastic job of presenting us with photographs of beautiful art work combined with candids that enhanced the art work. It definitely looks like a museum worth traveling to. Thank you for sharing and making us aware of such a grand museum.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Camellia. I appreciate your comments.
DeleteI agree with Camellia - the "Three Kingdoms" is just stunning!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, John. Yes, the "Three Kingdoms" was really stunning. They had once used it for "yoga day" in it's earlier days to make known their museum.
DeleteWow what amazing art very stunning could sit back and look for a long time thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Tom and Jovi. Yes, it was a very surprising art and they were so big that one has to stand a way back to appreciate all 3 together.
DeleteCool that there are viewers in front of Heaven and Earth, but none in front of Hell.
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely right! Thank you, Tom.
