This shot was taken yesterday morning as I stood in our yard while our dog took his morning constitutional. I noted that this single fallen leaf was in the midst of the grass. The grass is still deep green and the leaf a subtle orange/yellow. The other leaves had been taken the day before by our lawn service and this one seemed so alone....almost sad.

Autumn at the Lake
This photo was taken at our local lake on a beautiful blue sky day where the puffy clouds were on-again and off again. It was cool and windy but it IS autumn and it always portends the coming winter. However, I always love the colors of the season and take in as much as I can before the bare trees take over the forest and the moods change.

Like you said, that leaf looks great against the dark green grass. I guess that leaf hung on to the tree (or vice versa) just a little longer than the others.
