One of the reasons I wanted to go late octobre, is that in the first week of november the dragonboatraces are held in our small city of Satuek.
Have seen them once before, a long time ago, This year I had the possibillity to go in this season.
A day or 2 in front of the races, the teams are coming in and they practice on the river. Not all come to practice because these races are held all over Thailand in this season.
The stands are quite empty during practice, many have to work and it still is school. In the evening more people come to have a look;
What I have learned during the races, that these guys are pretty fit.
Many kids around ,dreaming that they one day could join a boat.
The days after it was qualifing day and finale day.
Very nice captures and so colorful 😉. How many are in each boat?
ReplyDeleteThere are big, small and medium boats. Believe in a big boat around 50
