You may be wondering what thie subject of this shot is.  It just is what it is.  The instant I saw this scene I was mysteriously drawn to it.  It felt like there was a relationship between this post and this trash can, like R2D2 and 3CPO.  Maybe they've been together for years.  Maybe the trash can is a new addition, a substitute for the missing post in the middle.  So many possibilities.
