In the autumn, I cycled across the wonders of Europe: Tyrol, the north of Italy, French Alps and Auvergne, Grand Est and a bit of Germany. It was my fifth bicycle trip since I said “bye” to obesity and Netflix-on-a-sofa related activities.
I limit the weight of my luggage to ten pounds, so I take an iPhone instead of a camera for my cycling trips. Please click on the link below for pictures and my travelogue. Enjoy!

That's quite some trip/trek. I guess you get to see so much more on a bike, certainly looks that way from the images in your blog. Really great shots and you appear to have had great weather as well. Excellent 🙂
ReplyDeleteHi Peter! Oh yeah, that was great. You see so many interesting things when you move slowly along cycle paths or side roads. And, honestly, our Europe is an absolute beauty. Moreover, well organised and safe.
DeleteWeather wise, I noticed it is less risky to cycle in the autumn than in spring. Over the last three years I have made about ten thousand kilometers around Italy, France & Co. I plan my next trip in Sep 2024 (hmmm… work and not enough holidays), from North-Rhine - Westphalia to Bordeaux.
Wow what a trip, looks like you and your pals had a fantastic adventure, you had fantastic weather for the journey as well Fantastic countryside, loved seeing this journey thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteHi Jovi, Hi Tom, It was awesome! So much to see everywhere. Weather in September is usually at its finest in Central Europe. However, it can rain heavily. On such occasions, I am too wet to take an iPhone and start snapping 😁.
DeleteWhat an interesting trip!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, it was. And it is so easy and relaxing to organise such trips: no airport hassle, no watery coffee on a plane or unscrupulous taxi drives. You just book the first one or two nights at a hotel, take a bicycle to a train and ride to the starting point or just get on a saddle at your doorstep.
