This is like the photographic equivalent of playing with finger paints. I took a nature photo that didn't quite make the grade (shown at bottom), and started giving it a twirl with Photoscape's "Twirl" effect. I couldn't decide which example to post, so here are two of them.
35mm, 1/100, f/4.5, ISO 320
I go with the first one. Photoscape is a good free editor
ReplyDeleteReally nice! I like them both - in #2 you get a fairly clear leaf shape and in #1 you get a more dramatic swirl. I, too love PSX for some of the effects and especially the textures. I went crazy several years ago with swirl and liquefy - it was some fun.
ReplyDeleteI'm still at the going crazy phase, a few years behind you.
DeleteLove the second one looks like a fair twirl paint
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tom! Photoscape has a free version if you'd like to give it a try.
DeleteNice effect
ReplyDeleteAh now I see. Good to see the original. I am light years away from these effects. And..... Peter says it's free!!! Must try it out!
ReplyDeleteThat particular effect is a one button click - there are several more that give similar fascinating looks.
