The time wewere in Thailand, was also the time that Khao Pansaa or the end of the Buddhist lent was celebrated.
The buddist lent starts with the rainy season and goes on for almost 3 months. It is the time for solitude. Monks do not travel between temples and spent a lot of time meditating and learning.
This is also a favourite time for many male Thais to go into the temple. Normally every male has spent a period of time in the gtezmple in his life.
We also went one time to the temple to pay our respect and bring food for the monks. Our local temple is not big or rich and not so many people were there.
Here you can see part of the family, my wife is the fifht in the row.
The monks started their round to accept the offerings.
