Architecture - Urgench

Positive, energetic, 1990s vibes. This is Urgench, Uzbekistan.  Liked it so much that I made a detour to see it once again yesterday.

    1. I liked the billboard: so smiley and sunny.

The history of Fanta is quite original. It was invented in nazi Germany, after Coca Cola stopped selling (because of sanctions imoposed by the USA). To imitate Coke, it had this characteristic caramel colour and herbal taste. The name comes from the German “Fantasie”.

    2. I am not sure but I think the “orange” modification came after WWII, from Italy.

    1. Hi Camellia,

I was a Mirinda fan. No idea why, because even the names sound so similar.

I use Nikon Z5 with 24-200 lens. Got it for Christmas as a present (from myself 😁). Like the camera very much, especially its ergonomy. I took it in my hands and simply started taking pictures. Location of all buttons so well planned, the camera is also very well balanced.

Yes, it is on the heavier side and sometime I still use my phone but the quality is indisputable.

      You have Z7, right?

  3. Great colors - I knew Fanta had European origins, but not Nazi Germany! I grew up on Nehi "Big Orange" and "Big Grape"and RC Cola (pronounced ara-see).

    1. I grew up on Polish “Ptyś” (a Fanta-like fizzy drink) and Coca Cola which came to us end 1960s.

Today, in Germany we drink Afri-Cola, an original German invention from 1931. Some years ago it made its way to the to States. In Poland, Fritz-Cola is popular in places which try to be more upmarket, sold in glass bottles only, too expensive for me.
