My walk home took me along a route I don't normally use, along the Rideau Canal starting from Dow's Lake. The path wanders through shady trees before...
...emerging out in the open to Dow's Lake.
The canal narrows at the Bronson Avenue Bridge, the first of three that I passed under...
...followed by the Bank Street Bridge...
From the Bank Street Bridge the canal widens out, it provides an excellent spot for skating in the winter.
From there a short walk to the Flora Footbridge at Fifth Avenue and then more walking to get home.
The ones of the bridge are much to my liking
