Thanks - without a clear frontal view, probably a Cooper's. The problem around here is overlapping distribution - the red shoulder hawk is so similar, as well as the sharp shinned, and there is probably interbreeding. Over the years photographing hawks in this habitat, a black water flood zone of the Wolf River, I have always identified them as Cooper's because of the dense canopy. Cooper's work that kind of cover so very well.☺️
