Lady with a pomegranate, unmistakably Camellia.
I saw the pictures of this and other murals in Uzbekistan Airways inflight magazine. They adorn the streets of Tashkent. As I landed in Uzbekistan last Sunday, I started looking for “The Lady with a Pomegranate”. Took me a bit of time and a great deal of walking and asking around but finally… tadaaaa!!! Found it!
Camellia, I didn't know that you model!!! You have lots of hidden talents ;) Great shot, Piotr.
ReplyDeleteðð yes, Nancy and the primary one is being a clown ðĪŠðĪĄ
DeleteNo, the profession of a clown is reserved for me.
DeleteI remember your pictures with pomegranates. This mural was so obviously you. ð
DeleteHA! Piotr how funny that you would post this on "New Years" day, aka Now Rooz ð
ReplyDeleteHi Camellia! Big celebrations all over Uzbekistan. Happy Novruz!
DeleteInteresting Mural
ReplyDeleteI liked it very much. Another one featured a cosmonaut. Found it near Yuri Gagarin Avenue, also in Tashkent. Will post it next time.
DeleteUzbekistan is not the most obvious places to hunt for murals. Therefore, once you find one, they are even more precious.
Great find.......good model!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Geoff, oh yes, that was The Find. Only in the former Soviet Union one would think of placing a mural on the inner wall of a government building, inaccessible to wider audience.
