So, we meet again, my old friend. This coming Monday, I'll be there, bright and early, for that special hospitality you provide.๐Ÿ˜”

I'm having my third lumbar surgery in the past four years. First, a fusion of L2-L4, then 13 months later a laminectomy on L5. This time, it will be fusing L1 to the rest - sort of like  an erector set job...a few more screws and connectors and, zip, all done.

Won't be as massive as the first one but still three more holes, lots of messing about in there. Shouldn't have to spend more than a night there and then the long road to recovery. As I always say, getting old ain't for sissies๐Ÿ˜

  1. Just think, the surgeons might consider it fun! I hope it goes really smoothly, and makes a big difference going forward. Hopefully they'll give you some good drugs! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

    1. They do! My dad was an orthopedic surgeon and he really enjoyed the challenges each case presented. Hopefully, this surgery will make my left leg not go numb on standing or walking and behave when I tell it to do something.
