I took this photo last year on a walk. The campus had planted pink roses near one of our building and I decided to take a try at a flower portrait. Due to various interruptions, I only got two shots and this one was the best. I love the soft texture and the vibrant colors of these roses.
Sunset Sky over the Green Field

This photo was taken last evening. We had gone out to dinner and were warned of the coming rain storms. I had no hopes or allusions to a sunset or a nice sky. When we were almost home, I noticed that there was a break in the clouds and maybe we'd see a nice (nicer than gray) sky for moment. As we got even closer to home, the colors opened up and I decided to take a side road and found this view of the waning sunset colors over a green field. It topped off the day nicely.
