Catching Up

More about this building in my next post

I love to walk in shopping malls in cities because they are often very very interesting and eye catching. Unfortunately, 'big' cameras are not allowed and I often have to make do with my cell phone. Next time, I will try to see if mu little Sony camera will be ignored by security guards.

  1. I can see why you like to go into the shopping centers, these are some really nice captures. In Chicago, with its multitude of shopping centers, I have ran into the same issue. Some places don't give a darn and other places they have stopped me with the first click. When I ask why, since shooting with a cellphone is not frowned on...they say this looks professional and we don't allow professional photos.....lame excuse in my opinion. But I know that outside of the US public photography has a more rigid "law".

    1. The local ones here have said your not allowed because it could be used in a photo shoot or a lawsuit In my younger days I would say to them, "Yes its for a lawsuit for not letting me take photos in here " :-)

    2. Thank you Camellia and Tom. We make do and I try to use my small Sony as discreetly as possible.

  2. Very nice Nancy. Must be difficult to navigate the restrictions on photography in these places. Here in Fayette County, TN the rules are simple - you shoot, I shoot back🤣🤣🤣
