There is a cute little produce market in the heart of Monte Carlo. Opened in 1880, it is a nice place to enjoy divine cakes and coffee. As I sat there with my bicycle last time, I noticed lovely pavement tiles all around the place. I could not help photographing them; my personal highlight of the Principality of Monaco.
Nice set of tiles. I can visualize you sitting there and sipping away. If I am not mistaken this would be Marché de La Condamine, I think it is the oldest one in the area.
ReplyDeleteHi Camellia, Exactly, Marché de la Condamine. My favourite. My second favourite in Monaco is the Oceanographic Museum. All the rest is not really for me 😊.
DeleteWow cool tiles nice capture
ReplyDeleteThanks Tom, thanks Jovi. I think the tiles are from 1990s when the market was refurbished. It’s so funny to notice these cute little things among billion-dollar stuff which Monaco is about. Not for me really.
DeleteIndeed loveky tiles. Thanks for sharing them
ReplyDeleteHi Peter, They were really so easy and hard to find 😁. Unassuming little things in the oasis of modesty among these million-dollar toys that make Monaco famous.
DeleteMonaco once was beautifull. Without the bling bling
