The framing on #1 is very eye appealing as is the building and the people. I think because of the distance between you and the scene the entire capture looks like a display. My eyes keep going towards the right of the frame, wanting more of the building but there is none, I would have cropped it but you didn't because you obviously saw something I don't. I am going to guess that had you cropped the right side you would be loosing a bit of those two girls making it unbalanced?
I understand what you're saying about #1, but I wouldn't crop out the two girls. Also, the blue object (wall? bin?) at the far right edge repeats the rhythm of the three garbage cans. It's a conundrum! I expect if there was a way to make this image perfect, Nancy would have found it.
I agree with Camelliaš² I think because the right edge is not building and everything else is. A fine skim of that edge leaving the girls in.All very subjective of course.
Thank you, Camellia, Tom and Peter for your comment and observation. All of you are right. I did not want to delete the girls because the man that was walking towards them would not have enough 'breathing place' as compared to the other 3 person the left. Like Camellia said, it makes the photo very unbalanced even if I cropped on the left - which will bring me back to the idea of "breathing space". It would be too tight and the movement and flow will be lost. The blue object on the right was a wall. I had another photo where the girls were walking towards the man but they were too close ...
Like it, takes me to Thailand
ReplyDeleteThank you, Peter.
