There is a hidden gem of a mural lurking in the Byward Market that very few know about. Hidden in the Giant Tiger loading dock sandwiched between two buildings and blacked by twenty years of exhaust fumes from the Giant Tiger tractor trailers, it really can only be seen through the magic of post production. In reality the walls are almost black and the mural almost invisible. Pity as it is a lovely depiction of Franco Ontarien life and should be part of the Market's tourist attractions.
A hiddein gem indeed
ReplyDeleteReally nice! As you said, it's a pity that it is hidden.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gem indeed Nice depth love the art work above the alley
ReplyDeleteWow Abigail! How cool is this!!! I would be spending some time there clicking away. Love how you were able to capture the reflection on the ground.
ReplyDeleteI have been watching this mural deteriorate for 20 years so when I found the alley empty I grabbed the chance to get unimpeded images. As it is the loading dock for Giant Tiger (like Walmart but even cheaper) it often has a massive tractor trailer in it.
