Cold Day at the Lake
Images Exposed Daily Photo Challenge
Monday Monochrome: This photo was taken a few years ago. I had ventured out to our local lake and was hiking the Lakeside Trail. I knew this point of land was there and it was one of my goals. When I got there, the windw was blowing and it was bitterly cold. There was no one else hiking or walking that day - and I probably shouldn't have been, but the scene was worth it.

Photo of the Day 358/366
This photo was taken early this year. I wasn't sure it would be what I wanted - the camera rarely captures what my eye sees. So I did some editing and the sky came alive to be what I wanted. The sky appears to convey much more warmth than it was in real life - but it was a beautiful sky.

The black and white photo really conveys the cold especially with that shadow going across the bench.
ReplyDeleteFantastic capture the clouds and the water
ReplyDeleteThat first one really works for me. I'm glad you went on that hike on that cold morning. I love the light on the rocks, the shadows, the tree, the water, and the lake vista in the background.
