An old waterpump. This design can be dated back to Romans times. It was build ontop of a waterhole. On the roof there was an animal or humans turning the wheel, a chain with buckets got the water up.
And than it went to a bassin to collect the water
Still in use on this site in Mallorca but with an electric pump now.
Interesting. Just goes to show you what quality construction realy means. After all these years still in use.
