Saturday - Nature

I read of this smallish park and thought it would be interesting to walk and look around for insects, birds and butterflies ...

I have arrived at the entrance / beginning of the park ...

Okay, no worries ... I can do the stairs and it does not seem too difficult.
I started climbing the stairs slowly as the sun was shinning happily - so was I!

I arrived at the almost flat plateau / plateform.
To the left was a resting bench and it overlooked the carpark ??!
Ahead more steps.
I was looking for adventure, right? So, I continued climbing up the steps believing that there will be surely something good to capture with my camera.

I laid my bag on the bench and contemplated ... more steps up and down ... would it be worth taking out the camera? I am getting a bit defeated by what I had observed round me. I was tired, I was thirsty ...
Meanwhile where are the birds, flowers, insects except a dead earthworm that has become food for the ants?
Took out my cell phone and did a panoramic view of the area. Thought it looked quite nice!

Yes, selfie time!
I decided to let temptation win - that means I had surrendered and will walked down those stairs and leave the park!! Positive points - I had my necessary intake of vitamins C and D for the day!
I had tried my utter best...

  1. A fine adventure and some nice images - bully for you for forging into the great unknown😊

  2. Probably fulfills the dictionary definition of a park but not the image we hold in our minds eye. But the area has some merit and you got some exercise and fresh air. Maybe the next one will give you the picture opportunities you hoped for.

  5. Nice selfie Nancy...maybe next time you'll take on Peter's challege and do a self portrait 😉. Glad you had a good excercise, but too bad it wasn't what you had hoped.

  6. That looks like more of an exercise challenge than a photo challenge! Anyhow, you got some vitamins, exercise, and a couple of nice shots out of it.
