Selfportrait, a bit of a challenge

iso 800 - f3.2- s1/15s

I created myself a small portrait studio. I have some lights and for the moment one background. So I can give portraits inside a go. No such luck that my wife wanted to pose for me. So my first portrait is a selfportrait.

Now this can be a challenge on its own, taking oneselfs photo.

Gear used is a background mounted on the wall, a small LED panel on a tripod. Camera my Fuji XT30 with the magical XF35mm f1.4 on it.

For the color junkies among you, I add the colorversion of the first one.
And yes this young fellow is me.

  1. What a great challenge. You know how many self portraits I take (for 52 Frames challenge) before I find one I really like? A ton! I like all three, but for me the best one is #1. Yes, the monochrome one 😃. I am not too fond of #3 because of the "colors" I know what you are thinking...what???? I particularly don't like the color of your skin in that photo, it blends in too much with your sweater. Other than that I really like your lighting set up and I hope your wife and your beautiful daughter do decide to pose for you.

    1. I know what you mean with the color of the skin. Gonna work on it a bit. My daughter will pose sure of that, my wife never, or I have to beg.

    2. Beg your wife. She'll secretly love it. 😁

    3. And, your wife will be glad she posed when she sees the results.
