Does someone need an extra spoon?
This was a design outside a restaurant . The background colours - violet, violet red and ?? kind of meet the challenge requirement. Maybe I am trying to convince myself??
This is my favorite cake - Rainbow cake. It was so airy and light and the buttery taste was not overwhelming. It was delicious!
I then checked on the analogous colour chart and it seemed a perfect match.
The waitress served the cake on the plate and momentary my mind went blank ... took a quick snap of the cake and then savoring every bite ... I have forgotten to straighten the plate!!
Both work well. That cake is just crazy, not know if it is healthy to eat
ReplyDeleteThank you, Peter. Re: the Rainbow cake. The cake has butter, eggs, flour, sugar, cream and chocolate. So if one is on a very strict diet medical advice or not, I don't think it is advisable to eat it. But if it is an indulgence once in a blue moon, why not.

DeleteIf this was a "voting challenge" and we were giving out prizes, you would definitely win the prize. When I look at your first photo I think back as to what John wrote in a comment yesterday, that we would probably find two adjacent colors for analogous colors when looking around but rarely a third color. Your photo number one sort of proves that although if you look at the bottom part of the photo, because of the light and shadows the purplelish color does run into beige so it qualifies. As to photo #2, the fact that you did not straighten the plate is actually a plus in my eyes, just gives it more "layers" for a lack of a better word and colors of the cake are beautiful. I would definitely indulge in such a cake.
