Grey Herons are the Largest Birds most of us ever see, the wing span is around 6 ft Despite their size, they are surprising light, laying in average only half as much as the graylag goose, Herons are sociable birds when nesting in long established heroines. Most heroines are way up in the trees with majority of the nests 25m above the ground They will nests on cliffs, bushes and sometimes buildings and bridges
The captures are a tad blurry, but the heron was moving quick, he was standing on the shoreline but there was a bush in the way. I was moving slowly around the bush but I guess not slow enough and he took off like a jet I was un-prepared but still wanted to share the captures
👍👍👍 These are great! I like them all, especially the first one. They aren't super sharp, but the blur adds to the feeling of speed. In the first one the bird looks sort of stretched out, which is cool. The only thing I'd suggest is to crop in a bit closer, maybe using a wider format like 16:9. That would make the bird bigger in the frame and emphasize the speed.
ReplyDeleteThanks for insight Peter I love these birds because they are so big but they are so fast
DeleteYour captures could have easily fit in the motion blur challenge on 52 Frames. I find these birds flight the most elegant and smooth flight ever. They really are fun birds to watch.
ReplyDeleteThanks Camellia I love these birds they are so big but they are fast and graceful
ReplyDeleteVery nice Tom - I love seeing these birds every time I visit a local park.
