Sunday - Monochrome

 The Apparition

This image of a ghostly woman with a glowing orb in the dark started out as an overexposed shot of a woman tossing a frisbee in the park.

I opened the RAW image in darktable to try to fix the exposure issues.  One of the darktable modules had a box I could click to reveal the module's proposed mask to use.  I clicked it, and what it displayed is the basis for what you see above.   I thought it looked interesting, so I did a screen shot of the mask display and edited it into what I posted.

  2. Glad you decided to turn this into a monochrome with the darktable's mask. Makes the photo stand out especially in mono.

    2. I'm too cheap to invest in the Lightroom universe, and I'm a sucker for open source software. darktable is complicated but that's part of the fun!
