  2. TOTALLY!!! 100%!! Jealouse of Sapuś for being able to travel with you all the time. Loved the post. Loved seeing all the locations. Some brought childhood memories back. I also thoroghly enjoyed seeing the LARGE photos, really gave a much better view of the areas. When are you coming back my way?
FYI we have booked a trip on the Southwest Chief to San Diego in September. Can't remember if you rode that line or not.

    1. Hi Camellia, Once again, sorry for these delays in my replies.

I am so lucky to have a teddy bear like Sapuś. He arranges everything for me, rides a bicycle so that I could sit back and relax. The large pictures make me scared: the quality of iPhone photography is appealing but nothing beats the convenience of travelling light. When it comes to travelling the USA again, I have so many ideas and only free time is missing. I will definitely make more of Amtrak, not sure if next year works, though. Need to take more care of Juergen who is not so adventurous. We will definitely go next year to NYC. It is where he wants to celebrate his 65th birthday. My Amtrak plans would include Chicago again, then down to Houston, TX and its famous space center, followed by California. Another idea, still in its infancy, is a trip from San Diego to Alaska, using trains and ferries. Definitely need more time…

Southern Chief? I rode part of the route, from LA to Albuquerque, stopping in Needles and Flagstaff on my way. Awesome! I met so nice people, saw The Needles, the astronomical observatory, The Grand Canyon and the National Museum of Nuclear Science and Technology. From Albuquerque. I took a Rail Runner train to Santa Fe. When are you planning to take the train?…

    1. Oh yes, I had a lot of fun. My leg muscles would probably be of a different opinion but they have long recovered.

    1. Thanks, Peter. I just love cycling Europe. My most ambitious plan includes Via Romea Francigena, a medieval pilgrimage route from Canterbury to Rome and further south to Brindisi. I started getting familiar with it, cycling parts of it but it will still take me some time to prepare…
