I think it is a storage for rain water. There are two rods to protect from lightning. I like how it blends with the scenary.

DeleteEveryone of the photos are beautifuly framed and captured. The second photo with the two characters , at first glance almost looks like a miniature still...they are standing so perfectly for this capture.
