Not shy of the mobile

When we are out and I not have the camera with me. I am not shy to use my mobile to take some pics.
The modern mobile is more than capable to take some really good photos. And there is no shame in using it as a photographer.

I even have been to an photo exhibition completly with photos taken with the phone. There are even courses now to get better at taking photos with your mobile.

As one of the teacher from my daughter said.
You can take a good photo with every camera.

  1. Well said and better done! You've taken good care to know the limits of the device. I've taught classes for seniors who use their mobile exclusively and it's true - you can get some very fine images. The truth is, most are not. It's all about the person behind the camera. My post today was taken with my mobile - but also lightly edited. SOOC (straight out of the camera) is not, as some say, a "real" unedited image. Mobile phones use computational processing and any jpeg has been edited by the software of the mobile. I don't agree that the engineers who wrote the programs know what I was seeing and how I wanted the exposure represented. As Ansel Adams said, "You don't take a photograph, you make it".☺️

  3. I love every one of your captures. The colors and the subjects are very appealing. I am in total agreement with both you and John. Sometimes the mobile works for me and sometimes the Z/750. As the saying goes "The best camera is the one that's with you."

  4. Amen to everything said here. Before I got my Nikon in 2022, all my photos were taken with the iPhone, and many still are. The quality of phone pictures is pretty amazing, compared to what we got from digital point-and-shoots from the early 2000's.
