Friday Nature: The birds have returned to our feeder after the cold winter. One of the most skittish birds that visit our feeder is the male cardinal. I get very few photos as they either come in early morning, when it is too dark, or they fly off when I approach my indoor camera. I feel i was very lucky to capture this one. I got two photos before he disappeared.

    Good catch! Back when I was taking bird feeder pictures I used a wireless remote to trip the shutter so I could stay invisible to the birds. It worked great.
