I have a small collection of classic bustes. One of them and my favourite is the Venus of Milo. It is such a classic beauty. Looking at it, the idea came that she would be a good subject for some closeup photos.
I have a macro lens that has not had much use yet. So I chose this one for the litle photoshoot.
It is the TT artisan macro 40mm f2.8. A fully manual Chinese lens.I have two lenses of this brand and they are cheap, and do not dissapoint. The build quality of these lenses is very good. a lot of metal and everything feels like it is quality.
Thisc lens is also a 1:1 macro lens.
I have always loved and still do, photographing art.
I can see why Peter

DeleteI like them! It's obvious that you've had practice photographing art. You've posted several excellent sets of photos of art in the past.
ReplyDeleteTrying to make art from art
DeleteMy first thought was, "conjunctivitis!" Very beautiful softness. The fourth photo is especially soft, creamy white, and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteShe is made from alabaster what gives a soft finish. And an aperture from 2.8 also helps
