Yes. There's a police unit on horseback, generally to patrol the parks, I believe. They go around to neighborhoods for public relations enhancement (leaving smelly piles in the streets!). Many years ago my kids were out-of-their-minds excited to take a turn sitting on a police horse in an empty bank parking lot. The woman police officer in front was very obviously used to smiling while posing. The guy in back was less cooperative. I saw a random photographer (with a tripod, orange vest, several cameras) direct the police to a good composition, and they happily complied so he could get his shot for Instagram.
