Last year we came to this place to visit the " Floralia of Brussels ". Now spring is on hand and the first flowers were coming out there. So we decided to go back to the castle of Groot Bijgaarden.
This year I was more focussed on the flowers and not so much on the gardens itself, like I did on our previous visit.
There were still more than a million flowers planted and the spectacle has a lifespan of about 2 months.
Most of the flowers planted are tulips and there is a great variaty of them.
The lens of the day was the Fujinon XF60mm f2.4 macro. This is a semi macrolens from the first lineup of the XF lenses. That first lineup is still one of my favourites.
Well I hope you enjoyed this litle colorfull tour of the place.
It was a sunny springday and we ended our trip with a nice glass of wine.
Beautiful all round

DeleteVery beautiful photos in a very beautiful place. My favorite is the sea of tiny purples. I know you had to get down very low to achieve that shot.
