  1. A steam train ?? Is it in use or is this for tourists?? It is so rare, I think, to travel in a steam train.

    1. It runs on a short section of track at a museum so if you go on a 'steam day' like we did you can ride on it as often as you wish.

  3. Cool picture. That engine looks so different from the old black steam train engines I'm used to. Are newer steam engines still in production?

    1. Hi Tom , this probably started life as a little shunting engine in a yard or quarry and they were often more colourful. Black locos tended to be mainline
      A handful of steam locos have been built in recent years but they are private ventures for enthusiasts to experience the age of steam and don't run on general daily services.
