Thursday: Fill-the-Frame

Spider Plant and Shutters

Images Exposed Daily Photo Challenge

Thursday Fill-the-Frame: Since retiring, I have been trying to take my theme photos daily. It doesn't always work, but I am trying. This plant is in our front window. I was pondering how to get a "fill-the-frame" photo when the view of this plant with the shutters caught my eye. I lowered the exposure to make it more about the shape than the plant. I thought it worked well.

  1. Interesting shapes. I'm ALWAYS having to make daily/weekly photos since I, unlike all of you, lack a stash from the past. Hectic but the "deadline" is nice motivation to keep at it.

    1. Yes, the deadline keeps me going too. Some of my posts are oldies (I posted one from 2006 a couple of weeks ago) but it's rare for me to go back more than a couple of weeks.

  2. That's a great catch. The spiky, curving leaves look cool against the regularity of the blinds. Kind of like a jazz solo against a simple bass line.
