Love the openings. I'm thinking these openings would all have been closed up with doors, so only now can you appreciate the openness. Maybe in the hot weather they opened some of them for a breeze. You have a lot of very wonderful chateaux in your portfolio!
Read your blog and enjoyed the photos. I am always amazed how a part of these construction stay up without any meaningful damage while other parts tumble down and are lost forever.
